Six Principles To Live By

Get understanding.
Proverbs 4:7

Incorporate these six principles into your life:
1) don't worry, when you're doing your best. God accepts no less, but He demands no more. 'Trust in the Lord, and do good… and He shall give you the desires of your heart!' (Psalm 37:3-4 )

2) don't hurry, when success depends on accuracy. 'Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty' (Proverbs 21:5)

3) don't form conclusions until you have all the facts. Everyone you meet has unmet needs, unhealed wounds and unfulfilled hopes. If you want people to evaluate you by your best qualities, rather than your worst, 'Do to others as you would like them to do to you' (Luke 6:31)

4) don't believe a thing is impossible without trying it. When you are in God's will, doing things God's way, sensitive to His timing and willing to persevere, your problems are just a platform for Him to work on your behalf 'we must wait patiently and confidently.' (Romans 8:28 )

5) don't waste your time on trivial matters. In order to put first things first, you must ask yourself, 'What is it that only I can do, or do best?' Only when you've answered that question will you know what you should do

6) don't think that good intentions are an acceptable excuse for doing nothing. Examine your life; are you a 'talker' or a 'doer?' Get specific about your diet and your devotions, your finances and your family, etc. Write these words on a card and read them regularly: 'If it's to be, it's up to me.' James writes: 'faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead' (James 2:17 ).

God's Work Ministry Inspirational and Encouragement

Dear Friend,

There are many moments in life when we lose perspective of what's mostimportant. We become so focused on what needs to be done that we do nottake the time to stop and enjoy right now. We miss the many opportunitiesto enjoy the beauty of God's creation that surrounds us. We get it in ourminds that enjoying today is a far-off reality not meant for us right now.We believe the lie that enjoying today must wait until some event mustfirst take place. We believe that we cannot enjoy today until we have ourhealth restored, or until we're able to retire or maybe when the kids gooff to college. That is a falsity that many of us have adopted notrealizing that tomorrow is not promised to us. (Matthew 6:34) (Habakkuk 3:17-19)
We have today and only today to enjoy right now. We should never postponethe joy of today for our tomorrows because our tomorrows may never come.Instead of rushing through your days, I encourage you to slow down, lookaround you and see what you haven't seen before. Enjoy the season you'rein, appreciate what you have right now and see with refreshed eyes whatyou have only glanced over in the past. By being determined to enjoyright now, you will find your life much more enjoyable and fulfilled andyou will see the problems that once looked so great diminish in comparison.
I hope this message encourages and inspires your heart to not rush throughyour days, but rather see the beauty that surrounds you and enjoy rightnow to its fullest.

PAY ATTENTION

God gave me another gentle reminder of what is essential this morning. Iwas rushing around trying to get too many things done at once and not doingany of them very well. As I was about to start my next chore, though, Icaught a glimpse of brilliant light shining through my living room window. The sun had just risen over the mountains and was shining brightly down onthe Earth. It’s glorious, golden beams were joyfully waking the world.Seeing this I walked out on my front porch to take a break from doing andspend some time living.
The sky was the purest blue imaginable. The air was so fresh and cool thatI breathed in deeply with delight. I listened to the birds singing happilyin the nearby trees as they greeted the morning. I then stood for awhilepaying attention to this wonderful world God has given us. Before I wentback inside I told God just how much I loved Him and thanked Him again formy life.
Life is so full of beauty, wonder, and delight. Life is so full ofkindness, peace, and happiness. Life is so full of love and joy. God hasgiven us a world overflowing with good things for us to rejoice in. It isup to us, however, to pay attention to them. It is up to us to take theminto our hearts, souls, and minds. And it is up to us to share them withthe world.
Don’t go through life too busy to see that essential wonder and beautyaround you then. Pay attention to it. Pay attention to that goldensunlight and brilliant blue sky. Pay attention to that first flower pokingits head through the dirt in the Spring. Pay attention to that smilingchild wanting to play and laugh with you. Pay attention to that beautiful, old soul sharing stories about his life with you. Pay attention to thosepeople who are reaching out to you and offering to share their love andjoy with you. Pay attention to the glorious love that God freely offersyou every second of your life. Life is too short not to pay attention.

Get To Know God Better

Can you discover the depths of God?…

You're on the adventure of a lifetime when you pursue a greater knowledge of God. What you've learned about God so far should give you a hunger to know Him even more. You must never be satisfied with what you know about Him already. Here are four practical benefits of knowing God:

1) Blessing. The more you know God and obey His will, the more you'll experience His blessings. 'If you obey all the decrees and commands I am giving you today, all will be well with you and your children… ' (Deuteronomy 4:40 )

2) Peace. 'Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God… ' (2 Peter 1:2 ). The more you know God, the more at peace you'll be. Yes, struggles and setbacks will come, but even then you'll have a sense of wellbeing because you'll feel His nearness

3) Wisdom. Paul prayed that God would give the Ephesians 'a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him' (Ephesians 1:17 ). Wisdom is seeing things the right way. Revelation is when God bypasses the limitations of your mind and shows you things you otherwise wouldn't know. Instead of finding a solution to life's problems every now and then, you can walk each day in a 'spirit of wisdom and of revelation.

4) Freedom. 'when you did not know God, you were slaves to those which by nature are no gods' (Galatians 4:8 ). Without the confidence that comes from knowing God, and your standing before Him, you become a slave to circumstances, emotions, or other people's opinions. Refuse to live that way. Instead, get to know God better.

Thoughts On Marriage

A man shall… be joined to his wife… Genesis 2:24

'And the LORD God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper… ' (Genesis 2:18 ). God gave Eve one basic responsibility - to help Adam. As a husband, you bear the primary responsibility for the home. When Eve ate the forbidden fruit, 'God called to Adam… "Where are you?"' (Genesis 3:9 ) Adam was held responsible for the breakdown.

Here's another thought. Before God gave Adam a wife he gave him a job, and specific instructions to obey 'the LORD God took the man and put him in… Eden to tend… it… God commanded… "you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat… "' (Genesis 2:15-17). Don't mess with a guy who doesn't want to work for a living, or obey God. Furthermore, if he tells you, 'I don't need you,' run! The whole idea of creating Eve was that Adam needed her. Until someone can say, 'I'm incomplete without you,' they're not ready for marriage. Marriage is a big decision, so allow God to help you make the right one. 'the LORD God… brought her to the man.' (Genesis 2:22 ). As a single person your options are: live an immoral lifestyle, marry a non-believer, or wait for God to give you the right mate.

And one final thought: 'a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.' Genesis 2:24 (NKJV). This verse is read at almost every wedding. The problem is, most of us don't think about what we're promising. It means breaking all other ties and giving yourself totally to your mate. Rather than working them into your life, it's building your life around them. The word 'cleave' means to stick like glue through bad times and good, and to commit to loving and caring for each other.

This morning when I was in the mass, I pray that I will not have difficulty to wake Sharon up to go to work. And I ask Mother Mary to intercede for me....but .. the answer is no....I am thinking why I have to worry so much about it, so I let go... and ask God to take care...I have more then enough problems or things to think about... sigh... just let go and let God...

Today is a present to me.. make full use of this day...

44 National Day

Today is Singapore 44th National Day!

Wishing Singapore Happy Birthday!

I also must think of a way out to do my business, I had a conversation last night with Grace after dinner at soup restaurant, she reminded me to stay focus, the business is mine, I have to do it since I want to take the responsibility to continue dad's business, I must do it with passion, everything is possible...

Lord, I need you to be with me and be my partner..

Amen!

Look Up to the Lord

I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13

I have been quite lost since my dad passing....

I promised him to continue running his business...it is a very heavy responsibility, and not an easy task with my brother as a partner but he is not helping me in the business, because my dad wish was to give the business to both of us. With my mom and one of my sister working with me... and the obstacle is that my sister is having depression and she is under medication, I had hard time communicate with her, I can say that it is almost impossible to talk to her because of her sickness,I must give way to her in everything I do,I don't know how long can I tolerate this situation....I am trying my best to look up to Our Lord everyday, to draw strength from Him and try not to worry about tomorrow, and live one day at a time....
Lord, increase my faith, I need you Lord...I have been feeling weak for a while,I am trying to let go and not clink on to the earthly things, but my flesh is weak, feel like crying now....why???

What should I do ?

Yes, I can do all thing with Christ strengthens me!

Praise the Lord!

PENTECOSTS sunday

The Fruit of the Spirit
There are so many scripture passages that relate to the Holy Spirit and today’s feast of Pentecost, but my reflection will just focus on a few verses from the alternative Second Reading. It’s clear that those whose lives are guided by the Holy Spirit bear fruit in their lives - the fruit of the Holy Spirit, listed by St. Paul in his letter to the Galatians.
There are twelve listed in the tradition of our Church, beginning with the fruit of love or charity, words which are quite misused in our society. For Paul is referring to the love that God shows us by sending His Son into the world to die for us, which of course is much more than just the romantic love we toast on St. Valentine’s day! Charity, likewise, is often thought of primarily as a monetary donation to some poor person or “charitable” cause. But charity is anything that puts into practice that love we are meant to have in our lives....
It has been said that the infallible sign of the presence of God in a person is an unquenchable joy. Pope Paul VI wrote a beautiful letter on Christian joy in the year 1975, in which he reflected on the life of Christ, which always shone forth with that Christian joy. Why? Because He was secure in knowing that He was loved by His heavenly Father. And so in spite of disappointment in His life, in spite of the hardships of His life, He always shone forth with the joy that marked the presence of the love of God in Him. Our lives should also sparkle with that joy, with that fruit of the Holy Spirit, so much so that others throughout the world, the people that God puts in our lives for a purpose, will be attracted by that joy.
Peace is another fruit of the Holy Spirit, and we recall the Lord’s words that He gives us His peace, not as the world gives, but a deeper kind of peace. More than just the absence of hostilities, Christ’s peace is Shalom, the sense of wholeness that comes when God is wholly with us.
Patience, even and especially when things aren’t going our way! In all of our lives, mishaps happen; in all of our lives, the unexpected occurs. And how we adapt ourselves, how we roll with the punches, shows how much our lives are bearing or not bearing the fruit of patience. So many of the Saints were secure in their patience, even in spite of numerous tribulations and tortures - what a formidable fruit that is!
And kindness - certainly, all of us have experienced many times in our lives when the rudeness of others wore on us, and ate at our hearts, and soured our own outlook, clinging to us like a barnacle. But on the other hand, the kindness of others has often brightened our lives, and that sense of kindness is meant to be brought into every situation in life! No matter how rudely, no matter how inconsiderately others treat us, there is always a kind reply at our disposal, if we are attentive to developing and harvesting that fruit of the Holy Spirit, the kindness that the Lord gives us!
Goodness: the goodness that comes from modeling our lives on the life of Jesus, not being content with just a few good deeds daily, but having the goodness of Christ living in our life in a concrete way that is always inspiring us to see the goodness in others, as well as goodness in ourselves, the blessings of the Lord which are always meant to be shared with others. For if we hoard that goodness, what good does it do? But if we share it with others, it’s a multiplication of a fruit of the Holy Spirit!
Generosity, the fruit of the Holy Spirit that is, in a sense, the sharing of all of the other gifts, of all of those other fruits, the acknowledgment that God has given us more than we need, more than we can even use on our own! And so we have an obligation and a need to share all of our gifts, and not in a miserly way, but in a generous way, a pouring forth to others!
Meekness, an awareness that, instead of always standing up and claiming what is our due, all of us have to remind ourselves that “all is gift,” and sometimes that means we have to even forego what is our right, our justice under law, in order to help the world to appreciate the One who died on a Cross, even though He had done no wrong, the One meekly led like a lamb to slaughter.
Faith comes from the awareness that God is here with us. So we don’t have to worry about everything in this world, because our God is here with us! And we don’t have to have the answers to everything, of all the questions that come to us, because our God is here with us, and He knows the answers! We don’t have to have a sense of loneliness, a sense of being by ourselves, because our God is here with us! When that fruit of faith is clearly shining throughout our life, then the whole world sees us as people of faith, and that fruit helps others develop their fruits.
Modesty refers both to modesty of the body (how we dress, how we clothe our body and present ourselves to others) and modesty of soul. This spiritual modesty is the recognition that no matter what great gifts we have been given (and we all have been given such great gifts), that’s what they are - gifts! We would not have them, we would not have the gift of life, if it were not for our loving generous Father and Creator. And so to acknowledge Him as the source of all our gifts, of all our blessing and bear the fruit of modesty in our life.
The fruit of self-control, of discipline in all aspects of life, reminds us that we need not and should not ever be slaves of passion or greed, for grace is never lacking to those who strive for self-mastery in God’s service.
The fruit of chastity is derided by many in our as a rotten fruit, and yet how sweet it is when a person’s life bears that fruit of chastity! Not just the chastity of body, but also the chastity of heart, the chastity of recognizing all that we are as made by God, male and female, in His image, and so presenting His image as He wants it presented.

As Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount, “you shall know them by their fruits!” If we live in the Spirit and follow the Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit will blossom in our lives as well!

Eight Principles To Live By

Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity...
Proverbs 3:21-22

People who set goals accomplish much more than people of equal education and ability who don't. With that in mind, build these eight principles into your life.

1) Decide what you want. But first consult God. 'Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails' (Proverbs 19:21).
2) Think on paper. Writing your goals down gives them a sense of permanency, plus it energises you. 'Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity… ' Wishy-washy objectives won't get you where you want to go.
3) Establish a deadline. Without a definite beginning and ending it's easy to procrastinate and get nowhere.
4) Make a list of what you need to do to. Keep it before you at all times; it'll give you a track to run on.
5) Convert your list to a plan. Decide what you need to do first and what you can do later. An organised plan is always better than trying to carry stuff around in your head.
6) Act immediately. 'Be very careful, then, how you live - not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity… ' (Ephesians 5:15-16). Do something! A mediocre plan that's implemented beats a brilliant one that's not.
7) Do something every day to move you forward. Build it into your schedule. For example, read systematically through your Bible, call a specific number of clients, engage in physical activity for a given time.
8) Have a goal you're willing to devote your life to. And keep your eye on that goal at all times. 'Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom' (Psalm 90:12 ).

Papa pray for us

Papa, it has been 307 days since you left us. Many things had happened to us.With God Grace, which I have been praying, thing settled one by one. There are still many things not settle yet, like the lease of the factory and the bank account, but I have faith in God that when the right time come, everything will be fine.
This morning mom told me that Joo called her and told her about Lucy, Mike and Joo want Lucy to pay rent to stay there, which I think it is unreasonable, Lucy paid them anyway, she stay there for the sake of the two children, she is reluctant to leave the place after 17 years, she has been taking care of the two children since they were born, how dare they chase her away if Lucy doesn't pay $200.
Pa, if you are here, things will be difference, mom is sad too, please pray for us up there.

Rest in peace papa.
Amen!
