Food Expo

From 26 Feb 2010 to 28Feb 2010, we have a food display at Expo Hall 3a, Yong got the contact, and we got it free display. But it is together with NATAS fair, the business is very bad, no crowd at all, luckily we just have to pay some token to the organiser, otherwise, the lost will be very tremendous!

Gong Xi Fa Cai

Lunar new year on 14 February 2010, it is also valentine day....

Went for mass at 730 am, everyone gets a Hong Bao and two blessed oranges...
Sharon attended mass with me, after mass came home, she continue her sleep until lunch time..after lunch went to IMM to do some marketing, at about 3pm, Sharon and I visit mom at Yong's house..we stay for dinner...came home about 7pm...
I slept early at 10.30pm,Sharon woke me up at 1130pm to let me know that she is going outwith J... I didn't have a good night sleep, woke at 130am, peek at her room, she still not home yet, I was tiredso I gone back to continue my dream..at 4 am I woke up again, this time I saw her bedroom door was closed, that mean she is home! So I go back to bed.. my alarm clock ring at 6 am, time to wake up for morning mass, but I press it down and rest a while more, ohh.. when i wake up it was already 625am... I rush through everything and drove to church.. ~o~ o~, I was 3 min late for mass...

Words To Live By In Troubled Times

The word of our God stands forever.

Isaiah 40:8



let's renew our minds with some of the wonderful promises God has given to us through His Word. Let's not just read them casually, but process them slowly, deeply, prayerfully and repeatedly, letting the truth of them change our thinking and strengthen our faith.



1) 'No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord… ' (Isaiah 54:17 )



2) 'The Lord… is with you; never again will you fear any harm… he is mighty to save. He will… deal with all who oppressed you… ' (Zephaniah 3:15-19 )



3) 'Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king… With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us… fight our battles ' (2 Chronicles 32:7-8 )



4)'My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my… fortress, I will never be shaken' (Psalm 62:1-2)



5) 'Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and don't forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand… ' (Philippians 4:6-7 )

Are you ready for more of God's wonderful promises?

1) 'Let all those who… put their trust in You rejoice… because You… defend them; let those also who love Your name… be in high spirits' (Psalm 5:11 )

2) 'The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you… ' (Deuteronomy 33:27 )

3) 'The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him' (Nahum 1:7 )

4) 'Fear not… for I am with you… I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you… I will hold you up… with My [victorious] right hand… ' (Isaiah 41:10 )

5) 'You protect them by your presence from what people plan against them. You shelter them from evil' (Psalm 31:20 )

6) 'Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever' (Psalm 23:6 )

7) '… The Lord stood at my side and gave me strength… The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom… ' (2 Timothy 4:17-18 )

8) 'Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you' (Psalm 9:10 )

9) 'This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness' (Lamentations 3:21-23 )

10) 'I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety' (Psalm 4:8 ).

Here are some more wonderful promises from the Bible that you can rely on when trouble comes:
1) 'Because you have made the Lord… your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways' (Psalm 91:9-11 )
2) 'The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them' (Psalm 34:7 )
3) '… I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed' (Psalm 57:1 )
4) 'The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit' (Psalm 34:18 )
5) '… the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer… ' (1 Peter 3:12)
6) 'He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me… he rescued me because he delighted in me' (Psalm 18:16-19 )
7) 'Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light' (Micah 7:8 )
8) 'You will have courage because you will have hope. You will take your time, and rest in safety. You will lie down unafraid and many will look to you for help' (Job 11:18-19 )
9) 'Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us' (Ephesians 3:20 ).

Belated Birthday celebration at JP


On 31/1/2010, our RCIA friends had lunch at JP putian restaurant to celebrate Sylvia and mine belated birthday.

King Solomon was a very successful, highly blessed king. He built the Temple of Jerusalem, he prospered Israel, he amassed more wealth than any other king, he was recognized throughout the known world for his outstanding wisdom, and his spirituality was so strong that he wrote and/or influenced four books of the Bible: Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, the Song of Songs, and the Book of Wisdom.
The secret to Solomon's success is explained by his father, David, in today's first reading: "Keep the mandate of the Lord, your God, following his ways and observing his statutes, commands, ordinances, and decrees … that you may succeed in whatever you do…."Remaining faithful to God keeps us united to God from whom all blessings flow.
Remaining faithful means we align our thoughts with God's thoughts, our will to his will. The reason why we sometimes have unloving thoughts, selfish thoughts, and self-destructive thoughts is because we don't practice self-control. It takes effort to remain faithful to God, and when we don't put forth this effort, we slide down the path of least resistance.
When we're surrounded by people whose minds are not on God, it's a lot easier to wander away from God's blessings. When we expose ourselves to influences that are contrary to God's, we become vulnerable to misconceptions and temptations. However, we live in a world where there are lots of ungodly people and unholy influences. So, we have to work harder to keep ourselves faithfully aligned with God.
Let us never be satisfied that we have done enough to remain in God!
Jesus, save us from such complacency!
God gives us opportunities daily to remain in his blessings: daily Mass (which might require personal sacrifices or a new work schedule that God is happy to obtain for you), Christian music, praying at the tabernacle in church, making use of the Rosary and other special prayers, watching TV shows and movies that build up our spirits, attending prayer meetings or Small Christian Community gatherings, studying the Bible, and ... the opportunities are endless.
How much of your time is spent influencing your mind with God's opportunities versus being exposed to the world's influences?
The secret to true success is immersing ourselves in God. Then, no matter how accursed our lives might seem to become, we know we are always being blessed by the Lord. He will transform every bad situation into great blessings.
