God wants you to succeed
2 Chronicles 31:21
God wants you to succeed! But you've got to do certain things.
(1) Set an achievable goal. Then work toward it, one priority at a time. Most things fail for one reason - broken focus. So avoid distractions: "A double minded man is unstable" (James 1:8).
(2) Write down your plan and establish deadlines. Most people don't plan to fail, they just fail to plan. Make a detailed list of activities and set checkpoints. Above all, guard and prioritise your time. "Use your head. Make the most of every chance you get" (Ephesians 5:16 ).
(3) Visualise yourself attaining your goal. Talk and think in success pictures. Moses did. He made it to the Promised Land because "He had his eye on the One no eye can see, and kept right on going" (Hebrews 11:26 ).
(4) Stay informed. "A wise man will hear and increase in learning" (Proverbs 1:5 ). If you'll pay for a good meal but not a good book, you value your stomach more than your mind. Observe, read, and grow!
(5) Create a climate of confidence around you. You won't experience victory while you're talking defeat. Don't rehearse your mistakes, that only reinforces your doubt. Remind yourself that your "sufficiency is of God" (2 Corinthians 3:5). With Him as your partner your success is guaranteed.
(6) Help others become successful. "knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord" (Ephesians 6:8). That means conquering self-centredness!
(7) Put God first. You are His child, He wants you to succeed. What father wouldn't? So deepen your relationship with Him: "Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; Thereby good will come to you." (Job 22:21).

Be happy on the job
The Lord will command the blessing on... all to which you set your hand.
Deuteronomy 28:8
Happiness involves feeling good about yourself. It's based on your relationships and achievements. When your gifts and abilities are fully developed and utilised through your life's work, you grow in confidence and strength.
Here are seven keys to being happy on the job:
(1) See work as God's gift, not punishment. "When God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work - this is a gift of God" (Ecclesiastes 5:19 ).
(2) Recognise God as your true employer. "Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does" (Ephesians 6:7-8 ).
(3) Pursue work compatible with your gifts. "If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised" (1 Peter 4:11 ).
(4) Learn everything possible about your job. "Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance" (Proverbs 1:5 ).
(5) Use criticism to your advantage. In fact, make it work for you; ask for suggestions and correction: "Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains correction: but he who regards reproof will be honoured" (Proverbs 13:18).
(6) Do more than is expected of you. "And whosoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two" (Matthew 5:41). Be an extra-miler!
(7) Make Jesus your work partner. Stay Christ-conscious throughout the day as you perform your duties faithfully: "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You: because he trusts in You" (Isaiah 26:3).

Prayer
Dear Lord, I thank You for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning.
I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God.
You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me.
Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you.
I ask now for Your forgiveness.
Please keep me safe from all danger and harm.
Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.
Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.
Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.
Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over.
And It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits.
I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart.
Continue to use me to do Your will.
Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others.
Keep me strong that I may help the weak ...
Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.
I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way.
I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood.
I pray for those who don't know You intimately.
I pray for those that don't believe.
But I thank you that I believe.
I believe that God changes people and God changes things.
I pray for all my sisters and brothers.
For each and every family member in their households.
I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.
I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God.
Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight.
I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees it.
GodI love you and
I need you, come into my heart, please. Amen.
A Mother's Prayer
Teach me to accept them for who they are, not just for what they do; to listen to what they say, if only so they'll listen to me; to encourage their goals, not mine.
Let me give them a home where respect and integrity are the cornerstones, and there's enough happiness to raise the roof.
May I give them the courage to be true to themselves; the independence to take care of themselves, and the faith to believe in You.
May I discipline them without demeaning them, demand good manners without forgetting my own, and let them know they have limitless love no matter what they do.
Let me feed them properly, clothe them adequately, and have enough to give them small allowances - not for the work they do, but the pleasure they bring.
Let me be moderate in all these things, so that the joy of getting will help them discover the joy of giving.
See that their responsibilities are real but not burdensome, that my expectations are high but not overwhelming, and that my praise is thoughtful and given when it's due.
Help me to teach them that excellence is work's real reward. And when it comes - let me revel in each honour, however small, without once pretending that it's mine - my children are glories enough.
Above all, let me ground them so well in Your truth that I can let them go.
In Jesus' name,
Amen!"

TWENTY THINGS TO REMEMBER
2. If you worry, you didn't pray. If you prayed, don't worry.
3. As a child of God, prayer is kinda like calling home every day.
4. Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.
5. When we get tangled up in our problems, be still. God wants us to be still so He can untangle the knot.
6. Do the math. Count your blessings.
7. God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.
8. Dear God: I have a problem. It's me.
9. Silence is often misinterpreted, but never misquoted.
10. Laugh every day - it's like inner jogging.
11. The most important things in your home are the people.
12. Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional. (Preach it!)
13. There is no key to happiness. The door is always open. Come on in.
14. A grudge is a heavy thing to carry.
15. He who dies with the most toys is still dead.
16. We do not remember days but moments. Life moves too fast so enjoy your precious moments.
17. Nothing is real to you until you experience it; otherwise it's just hearsay.
18. It's all right to sit on your pity pot every now and again. Just be sure to flush when you are done.
19. Surviving and living your life successfully requires courage. The goals and dreams you're seeking require courage and risk-taking. Learn from the turtle, it only makes progress when it sticks out its neck.
20. Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are. No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting. Leave gentle fingerprints on the soul of another for the angels to read. I don't want to get to the end of my life and find that I lived just the length of it. I want to have lived the width of it as well.

UNLEASH YOUR POTENTIAL
God created everything with potential, including you.
Potentialis dormant ability, reserved power, untapped strength, unused success, hidden talents, capped capability.
Potential is all you can be but have not yet become; all you can do but have not yet done.
The keys to releasing your potential:
You must know (be related to) your source.
To understand the potency ofyour potential it is essential that you know God.You must understand how God designed you to function. God designed you tofunction like He does by faith and love. Your potential cannot be released without a combination of faith and love.
You must know your purpose.
Whatever purpose God created you for, He also gave you the potential to fulfill it. Your potential is equal to the assignment.
You must understand your resources.
God provides abundant material andphysical resources to sustain and maintain your life. Resources were created to live on and with, but never for. We are never to worship the resources, nor be controlled by them.
You must have the right environment.
God designed man to function in thegarden, in relationship with Him, free from sin, and in daily communionwith His spirit. The Fall of Man contaminated this environment. The key torealizing your potential is the restoration of God's original environment. Jesus came to restore us to the Father, and sent the Holy Spirit to restoreour internal environment.
You must work out your potential.
Work is a major key to releasing your potential. Potential must be exercised and demands made on it, otherwiseit will remain “potential”. Good ideas do not bring success. Good hardwork does. To release your true potential, you must be willing to work.
You must cultivate your potential.
Potential is like a seed. It is buriedability, and hidden power that needs to be cultivated. You must feed your potential the fertilizer of positive company, give it the environment of encouragement, pour out the water of the Word of God, and bathe it in the sunshine of personal prayer.
You must guard your potential.
It is sad when what could have been becomes what should have been. God called your potential your treasure, somethingto be valued and guarded from sin, discouragement, procrastination, distractions, and compromises.
You must share your potential.
True potential in life is not what is accomplished, but who benefits from it. Your deposit was given to enrichand inspire the lives of others.

Evangelizing as lambs, not wolves
Jesus wants us all to be workers in the Lord's harvest. In today's Gospel passage, he's commissioning 72 disciples and sending them forth on evangelization missions. Notice that he's not limiting this important work to just the Top Twelve Disciples. He sent forth a large contingent of followers, and then he went on to say that there weren't enough of them.
Today he's still doing this at the end of every Mass. When the priest gives us the final blessing to send us forth, it's not really him doing it — it's Jesus himself. And is he still saying that there aren't enough of us working this harvest?
Saint Francis of Assisi is famous for teaching that all Christians should preach the Gospel at all times, "and sometimes use words." Our lives — how we respond to crises, how we treat others, how we rely on faith when there are reasons to doubt, how we deal with suffering, how much we care about social justice and what we do about injustices within and outside our churches — are the harvesting tools that evangelize. We are all commissioned for this mission by virtue of our baptisms. Our everyday lives either witness or fail to witness about God's true nature.
Jesus went on to emphasize that we should evangelize as lambs among wolves. What is a lamb? We know what it meant for Jesus to be THE Lamb, and yes, sometimes we do have to make difficult sacrifices in order to convey God's love. But not all of the time. Jesus was the Lamb of God before he went to the cross. He was the Lamb throughout his ministry, and he is STILL the Lamb.
Being a lamb means being like Jesus in every moment of every day in ordinary ways. The opposite is to be a wolf, one who devours the weak. We become wolves if we attack others for their weak or non-existent faith. We are wolves disguised as lambs if we try to guilt people into going to Mass or force them to obey Church laws or beat the love of God into them by nagging and harping on what is wrong about them.
Wolves tear others down. Lambs inspire faith, and faith, in turn, is what inspires the straying sheep to return to Mass, to obey Church laws, and to accept God's love. Faith is a gift from the Holy Spirit. We cannot expect people to understand the truth that we offer them if God has not yet delivered to them this gift.
Jesus also explained that when we reach out to others, we should evangelize them without carrying our personal baggage into the encounter. The baggage that we might be tempted to bring into a conversation about faith includes low self esteem ("God cannot use me, I can't make a difference") and feelings of superiority ("They're bigger sinners than I am"). Before going out into the world, we need to ask: "What do I tend to bring to others that is not Christ-like?" Pray that Jesus will help you unload this baggage at the door.

YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES!
You've all that the greatest of men have had;
Two arms, two hands, two legs, two eyes,
And a brain to use if you would be wise,
With this equipment they all began---
So start from the top and say, “I can.”
Look them over, the wise and the great,
They take their food from a common plate,
And similar knives and forks they use,
With similar laces they tie their shoes;
The world considers them brave and smart,
But you've all they had when they made their start.
You can triumph and come to skill,
You can be great if you only will;
You're well equipped for what fight you choose,
You have arms and legs and a brain to use;
And the man who has risen great deeds to do,
Began his life with no more than you.
You are the handicap you must face,
You are the one who must choose your place.
You must say where you want to go,
How much you will study the truth to know;
God has equipped you for life,
but HeLets you decide what you want to be.
Courage must come from the soul within
The man must furnish the will to win.
So figure it out for yourself, my lad,
You were born with all that the great have had;
With your equipment they all began,
Get hold of yourself and say, “I can.”
