Advent

We are in the third week of advent.. preparing for the coming of Christ...

Handling Family Problems

... in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
Genesis 12:3

In order to bless all the families of the earth, Abraham had to start with his own family. Before a man could qualify for leadership in the New Testament church, they examined his home life (1 Timothy 3:5). Their thinking was, 'If he doesn't succeed there, don't enlarge his territory.' But if you're going to enjoy God's blessing as a family you must learn to cope with difficulties.

So:

1) Try to remember that you're all on the same team. Don't take your frustrations out on your loved ones. Too often, home is where we go when we're tired of being 'nice.'

2) Before you speak, get the facts. Nothing's more damaging than jumping to conclusions. 'Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything' (Proverbs 13:3 ).

3) Handle it with wisdom. List all your options and you'll be more objective. That's how you'd handle a problem at work; why not do the same with your family?

4) Find something good in the situation. Scott Peck writes, 'It's only because of problems that we grow mentally and spiritually. It's through the pain of confronting them that we learn.' No matter how bad things seem, every situation holds something positive-look for it.

5) Make sure they know you love them. It's okay to express how you feel so long as you do it graciously. But make sure your family knows you love them. When people feel loved they can weather almost any crisis.

Think: when do you need God's love most?

When you deserve it least!

Try to follow suit.

Thank You Lord

I was about to send a message to G to ask for financial assistance, and I was hesitating, I pray that I let go and do everything in the right way... then, I check my phone, the message came " transferred 2K ...." Praise the Lord, this is what I need... God is good All the Time!

Yesterday I hand over $100 to MT, she need some money to go to India, my mind was not sure, anyway, I hand over to her the money last night at church, she said she will pay me in 2 instalment, let it be...

This morning, Sharon don't have to go to work, so I left early and do some marketing, thanks God I have resource to pay for the marketing....and we are going to have a nice meal later...

Another Day

Today is Saturday, have to work, need to finish the packing. L came and help out, but when I go near , she run away, what a frustrated action....the worst thing happen is that when the phone ring, she rush to the phone, but it was P called, she pick up the call and tell him will ask me to call him back, she just refused to ask me answer the call, very angry, I shouted at her, the quarrel start, mom was very sad over our quarrel, I cannot control my emotion for what she has done, God, please help me.

Mother Mary, please intercede for me to have more patience and Love.

What is life?

It sound so depress... I saw James in church two Sunday ago, I was shock to see him in this stage, he is so skinny and sickly, I guess he is suffering from the terrible disease call cancer, I don't know what to say to him, just smile with him and wave my hand, I felt so sad, only said prayer for him... last week saw him again, never talk to him, only see him from afar, I ask God give me the courage to talk to him... again this Sunday, met him outside the church, Gina was there and Joshua too, at least I have the courage to shake his hand and talk to him....he said the doctor give him 6 months to live, and his face has no life at all, we encourage him to pray and do not give up, Lord, show him the light so that he can follow you....

Don't lose your peace of mind

"You will keep him in perfect peace... " - Isaiah 26:3

We lose our peace of mind for four reasons:
1) We try to change the people in our lives.
As you grow wiser you begin to realise that you can't change other people, only God can! And He does, when you back off, and love them as they are. This doesn't mean agreeing with everything they do. It means committing to love them regardless, claiming God's promises on their behalf and allowing Him to deal with them His way, in His time and for His glory. The reason you're stressed out may be because you keep trying to do something-about something you can't do anything about!
2) We try to make things happen when it's not the right time.
'There is a time for everything... ' (Ecclesiastes 3:1 ). If you've raised children you know that one of their chief characteristics is impatience; they can't wait for anything. God wants us to outgrow our childishness so He makes us wait, trust, and mature!
3) We get upset because we're not progressing fast enough.
You can slow down your spiritual growth through neglect, but ultimately, '... We all... are being changed... [by] the Spirit' (2 Corinthians 3:18 ). So learn to enjoy your life while God works on your problems, for you'll always have problems!
4) We push ourselves harder and harder.
We do what we think God wants without consulting Him as to what He actually wants, when He wants it, or how He wants it done. As a result we wear ourselves out.
What's the solution?
'You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is [focused] on You, because he trusts in You.'

Rose blooming again

So long never update the blog, because I am very busy with work and life...at work.. have to deliver the order for Hung Gay by 8/11/10....

In life, this month October, many events to celebrate, it is also the anniversary of Shaun and Aslyn, it started from 10/10/10, went dinner with them to a Japanese food outlet at Hong leong garden, it was lousy, waited for 3 hours to get our food, I will never go there again..then on 17/10/10, went to suntec for dinner, was recommended by Shaun, so so... 23/10/10, Godma birthday, I called to wish her happy birthday... Qirui 21st birthday on 20/10/10, Yan Yan birthday on 26/10/10 and Zac birthday on 24/10/10...wow...and Peter birthday on 29/10/10.. he likes the steak at Swensen, so we had dinner there on his birthday..

And today, my rose in the garden blooming... haha...

Trip to China

I took a 5 days 4 nights trip to Shenzhen , Guanzhou and Macau ...

Before I went , mum got eye imbalance problem, after took her for a jap, she was fine, on the 2nd day on my trip, Hock called me inform me about her situation, need medical care, so I make appointment with Dr Colleen on friday, one day after I come back, but on thursday, she was taken to A & E at KTP hospital because her giddiness was very serious... I wanted to take her to SGH t see Dr Colleen, she said she was fine and I cancelled the appointment, on saturday, her sickness came back I have to called an ambulance send her to KTP hospital again, and now she is in ward B65 bed 9... Lord have mercy on us....

About my trip I cannot say I enjoy my trip but I am satisfy with what I want to see.. Praise the Lord.

Mixed Feeling

I am happy in a way that the coming sunday 19/9/2010 till 23/9/2010, will be going for a tour to shenzhen, this is the first time i go to china,exciting....
I am sad.... as there are many unsettle thing hanging on, the office....

Sharon goes on a business trip to Berlin from 31/8/2010 to 5/9/2010...she will be back this afternoon...we took photo before she take off.....

Wonderful Day

This morning when I open my door, going for morning mass, I saw the beautiful rose smiling at me, so sweet, pink color!

When I was in office, I feel like eating crab, so I went to supermarket bought 2 big crab cost me $15.00.... And I cooked it myself and eat all by myself because mom already had her lunch...yummy

I planted a rose , my neighbour help me to water it...

Yesterday I saw the rose bud , and today, the pink flower is out, so nice

Times Fly

It is middle of August already...

There are many things changing every day, Yong goes back to work since the beginning of August... it make thing a bit relax, at least he got a steady income, and he can pay his household expenses... I notice mum getting tired easily this few days, I must pay more attention to her....

Sharon told me she might be going to Berlin by end of August, and going to Japan in October....

hope she can get inspiration from here...

Last night sent Shaun to airport, he is going to Copenhagen for seminar for two weeks...

Pete is going with his friend to Hatyai on Monday 16 to 18 August 2010.. wishing him a pleasant journey...

Today I went back to work with mum, Lucy took off... I made Satay Powder all by myself, praise the Lord!

finished work at 4.30pm, sent mum home then came back , relax, have dinner and watching TV....

Tomorrow the church celebrate Assumption of our Lady.. I will attend 7.30am mass.. then we have lunch appointment for birthday of the month...

New Moon Big Walk

Thing I do this morning

1st August 2010, went for new moon 5 km big walk at pasir ris park with Rebecca... it was heavy rain early morning about 6 am, luckily the rain stop at about 830 am, we finished in less then an hour ...

After the walk, we went for lunch at Upper Serangoon, the famous dried noodle, it was delicious....

I feel like cooking

On friday 30/7/2010, I feel like eating curry vegetables, so I got the ingredients from supermarket and cook at the factory kitchen... this is what I cook...... so delicious...yummy!

Mind Your Mouth!

"Of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh... " - Luke 6:45

'Oh, it was just a bunch of meaningless words. No big deal!' Wrong! Our words are a big deal and they do mean a lot! 'A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. '...

For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks' (Luke 6:45).

Your words have either negative or positive impact.

1) Consider some negatives.

They can wound people to the core.

'There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword... ' (Proverbs 12:18).

They can break down a person's spirit, stripping them of the courage for living. '... Perverseness in it [the tongue] breaks the spirit... ' (Proverbs 15:4 ).

Carelessly spoken words between people can destroy relationships.

'The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbour... ' (Proverbs 11:9 ).

Emotional, and possibly even physical death, can result from words.

'Death and life are in the power of the tongue... ' (Proverbs 18:21).

2) Consider some positives. Your words can spark life into a relationship.

'A soothing tongue is a tree of life... ' (Proverbs 15:4).

The right words can help heal wounded relationships.

'Pleasant words are... sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.' (Proverbs 16:24).

Well-chosen words can help us to understand each other. '...

Sweetness of the lips increases learning... ' (Proverbs 16:21).

Words spoken at the right times can bring us closer together.

'The right word spoken at the right time is as beautiful as gold apples in a silver bowl' (Proverbs 25:11 ).

What you say matters, so mind your mouth!

Lost

Life has been very unstable all these days, it all because of business matter, Lucy has been up and down, Yong who is property agent now not doing well, I think this caused the problem, I do not have a peaceful day, I try my best to be in God's hand, my action do not show that, I still get anger easily and fed up, Lord, please let me decrease and You increase in my life, please lead me and show me what should I do to my business, my brother want to sell the whole thing which I think it is not right according to my daddy's will, I need you Lord... Deut 20:4 "The Lord your God is going with you, and he will give you victory" Courage

Next I ask the Lord, what should I do next..and He said Matthew 11:28-30 come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest. For the yoke I will give is easy, and the load I will put on you is light. Rest

Then I ask the Lord, after rest what should I do, He said: John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give unto you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one anothr. If you have love for one another, then everyone will know that you are my disciples. Joy

After I love one another, will thing be change? The Lord said: 2 Peter 1:2-3 May grace and peace be yours in full measure through your knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. God's divine power has given us everything we need to live a truly religious life through our knowledge of the one who called us to share in his own glory and goodness. Grace
