Guard Your Heart

Looking diligently lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you
Hebrews 12:15

The phrase 'looking diligently' comes from the Greek word episkopos, which means to supervise, oversee, and correct (It's where the word 'bishop' originates). So you are the overseer of your heart. Each day you must monitor, direct and correct what goes on there. You can't blame your bad attitude, resentment and unforgiveness on others. You are responsible! When somebody offends you, it's up to you whether or not you let bitterness take root. You can't control what other people do, but it's the 'inside' part - the part you can control - that God holds us accountable for. You get to decide whether or not irritation turns into anger, anger into resentment, and resentment into retaliation. Paul says, 'Looking diligently lest any… root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and… many be defiled' (Hebrews 12:15 ).
The reason weeds take over a garden is because the gardener doesn't pull them up fast enough. When your garden is choked by weeds you can't say, 'I don't know how it happened!' When you are 'looking diligently' you will see them moving in. The only way to stay free of the weeds the enemy wants to sow in your life is to be attentive to the condition of your heart. When you're faced with a hurtful, offensive situation, refuse to let a wrong attitude take root and produce bad fruit. Instead, ask God to help you replace those destructive thoughts with mercy and forgiveness towards the people who hurt you. The Bible says, 'Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life' (Proverbs 4:23 ).http://www.thevine.nz.co

Stop Worrying About it

Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you

Psalm 55:22

When worry comes knocking on your door, stop it on the doorstep or it will move in and take up residence. 'Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you' (1 Peter 5:7).
God cares about the things that worry you and prey upon your thoughts. He cares about them more than you do. Not one nagging, aching, worrisome, gut-wrenching, blood-pressure-raising thought escapes His notice. Because 'you are his personal concern', He watches over you day and night. What qualifies as a worry? Anything that robs you of joy, anything you can't change, anything you're not responsible for, anything you're unable to control, anything that torments you, anything that keeps you awake when you should be asleep. All of that 'stuff' needs to be transferred from your worry list to your prayer list. The Bible says, 'Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace… ' (Philippians 4:6-7 ).
Give each worry, one by one, to God. The more you practise doing this, the more exciting your walk with Him will become. You'll be amazed at how easily He handles things that overwhelm you. Remind yourself that He's able to handle it, willing to handle it, and waiting for you to give it to Him.
'Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you.'
Those who live worry free are those who keep casting their burdens on the Lord until it becomes as natural to them as breathing!

Accident

Praise the Lord !
I met with an accident this evening at Toh Tuck Ave and bt Batok St 25 junction around 610pm after sending my mom back home.
I was at the filter lane , turning out to Toh Tuck Ave from Bt batok St 25, while I was waiting for the traffic to clear before I can filter out, the school bus behind me bang my van from the rear left side, I felt a jerk from the seat, luckily, i can walk out from the van, only the van damaged, I am OK.
The bus drive admitted that he is wrong, ask me to go to his workshop at Jln Terusan for repair by tomorrow morning.

Accident do happen, and you don't know when?
